Pops and Clicks with PTLE and 003

Using iMac with OS 10.4.7, Pro Tools 7.4 and a 003 factory.

003 set to internal clock.

Start recording and pops and clicks are seen and heard.

Troubleshooting.

1. unplug everything from 003 except power cord and firewire cable –> no change
2. reset firmware on 003 –> no change
3. replace firewire cable –> no change
4. trade out for another 003 (wishful thinking) –> no change
5. try on my MacBook Pro with 10.5.8 and PT 8.0.1 –> It works!

Idle Computers will automatically Turn Off at 9pm

In an effort to be more green, I’m having the computers turn off at 9pm.  This only happens if the computer is idle, meaning no active programs are running.  So, if you are working on a computer at 9pm, it won’t suddenly turn off without warning.

Wiring Diagrams for MusicTech studios

I posted some of the wiring diagrams for our studios on the Music Technology server.  Here’s how to find them.

1. Log In with your username and password
2. Open the “Manuals” folder.
3. Look in the “MusicTech CAD” folder

ST2 gets a temporary computer monitor

The Samsung monitor on the D-Control blew up.  Not literally, no smoke and flames, its just not displaying an image.  I put the gateway monitor in its place until we switch over to something else.
